About Ze Selassie

A Life Oriented Toward Accountability, Growth, and Service

My name is Ze Selassie.

I serve as a chaplain, Christian counselor, and writer committed to the patient work of healing, restoration, and disciplined spiritual growth. My life has included serious chapters; chapters that required deep accountability, humility, and change. I do not distance myself from them. They shaped the seriousness with which I now approach faith, responsibility, and service.

In a community like Bermuda, where relationships are close and history is remembered, one learns quickly that actions carry weight. I have learned that lesson fully. Accountability is not an abstract principle to me; it is lived reality.

Yet accountability is not the end of the story.

Faith, Consequence, and Formation

Scripture teaches that we reap what we sow. It also teaches that grace does not erase consequence, but transforms the heart within it. Over time, I have come to understand repentance not as an emotional moment, but as a sustained change of direction; a life reordered toward integrity.

Growth is not instant. Trust is not demanded. Redemption is not claimed; it is pursued.

My commitment is to live in such a way that change is visible through consistency, discipline, and service.

My Work

Chaplaincy & Pastoral Care

As a chaplain, I walk with individuals and families navigating grief, trauma, and crisis. I believe pastoral care must be both compassionate and honest; offering comfort without denying reality, hope without minimizing responsibility.

The most meaningful healing often begins with truth.

Christian Counseling & Teaching

My academic formation in Christian Counseling integrates theological depth with psychological insight. I write and teach on:

  • Grief and emotional resilience
  • Identity beyond failure
  • Forgiveness and responsibility
  • Spiritual maturity
  • Restorative living within community

I am particularly committed to those who feel defined by their worst decisions; not to excuse them, but to help them pursue real transformation.

The L.I.V.E. Vision

L.I.V.E. — Love Infinite, Vigorously Exercised.

Love, in its truest form, is active. It is accountable. It seeks repair where harm has been done. It labors toward restoration, even when restoration is slow.

In a small island community, rebuilding trust requires visible consistency. My aim is not to rewrite history, but to live differently because of it; to contribute more good than harm, to strengthen what can be strengthened, and to serve faithfully over time.

Why This Work Matters

I understand brokenness.

I understand consequence.

I understand the long road of rebuilding trust.

Because of that, I do not offer shallow encouragement. I believe in repentance that produces fruit. I believe in growth that can be observed. I believe that faith, when taken seriously, reshapes character.

No one should be permanently reduced to their worst chapter. But neither should transformation be spoken of lightly.

My life today is oriented toward steady service, thoughtful reflection, and continued formation in Christ.

Healing is possible.

Growth is possible.

Restoration is possible.

And integrity is always required.

Blessings,

Ze Selassie
