Motherhood has never simply been something you did. It is who you became.
Long before others saw your strength, God saw a woman willing to pour herself out so others could become whole. You carried children in your arms, but even more than that, you carried people in your prayers.
And though the years have changed many things, they have not changed your heart.
The routines are different. The seasons have shifted. Yet your life is still producing fruit: beautiful, quiet, eternal fruit.
And now, the Lord has widened your assignment.
You spend your days helping others find Jesus, teaching hearts how to trust Him, encouraging the weary, praying for the broken, and reminding wandering souls that grace still calls them home.
You have become the kind of woman Paul spoke about; older in years perhaps, but rich in wisdom, steadfast in faith, and deeply anchored in the love of Christ.
There is something profoundly moving about a woman who still chooses God wholeheartedly after all life has taught her.
You have known disappointment, yet you still believe. You have endured pain, yet you still nurture others gently. You have carried burdens silently, yet your spirit still makes room for people to heal.
That is not ordinary strength. That is grace formed through surrender.
And maybe what makes your life so beautiful is that you never stopped saying yes to God when lesser hearts would have grown tired.
You remind people that discipleship is not built only through sermons, but through consistency, prayer, kindness, patience, and a life that quietly reflects Jesus every day.
Your love has become ministry. Your wisdom has become shelter. Your faith has become a testimony.
And though you may not always see the full impact of the seeds you plant, heaven does.
Every conversation. Every prayer. Every word of encouragement. Every soul pointed back to Christ.
None of it is wasted.
This Mother’s Day, you are honored not only for the children you raised, but for the Kingdom legacy you continue building.
Because the raising of families is the same fertile soil in which you now raise disciples.
And that is holy work.
Happy Mother’s Day
Blessings,
Ze Selassie
